Ok guys here my ??

I have been doing videos with basic HD sony handycam. I have upgrade in last year to Sony HD FX1 here a few of my videos
www.stangracingproductions.com

Now I looking at getting my feet wet with some photography even if I just add into my videos. and the camera I have is just first Gen XTI Digtal Rebel Canon. I have upgraded lens with the canon. 18mm-135mm and a nice wideangle lens I have about $400 in so I want to be able to use my investment in current lens. I am not in a rush because I have prob not even touch the surface of taking great pictures with what I have.... but I am also ready to start learning and maybe having advantage for a non outdated body.

I want HD video... and I like the idea of a live view so if I was using camera for video I can get some low angles etc..

what I have looked at is from the

T2i T3i T4i
and now started thinking bout 7d which maybe out of my budget but.... still thinking?

HELP lol

I just picked up the Canon T3I with the 18-55mm and the 75-300mm lens for $650. Target has the camera for 600 and you get 150 off the second lens. This is my first SLR and can't wait for the season to start back up

Hi
I've been looking for a camera for awhile now, but need a little advice. I was thinking about a Canon 60d, but then thought i might go to the 7d. My question is are these packages worth it, or am i better off buying the body, and buying one or two decent lenses to go with it. For example, a package like this:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/New-Canon-7D...item3f209cfc4f

While this will be my first DSLR, maybe this is too much camera to start, but then i don't want to be looking to upgrade again for awhile either.

Thanks for any advice.

Best deal in DSLR's right now is the Nikon D5100. It has the D7000 sensor, 940K dot swivel LCD screen, and tons of features. Best of all, it's relatively dirt cheap, as they just came out with the D5200... which is basically the same thing! These things started out at close to $900 when they first came out a couple years ago, and can be had refurbished with lens for $439.95. I just bought the camera without lens for $369.95.

See what Ken Rockwell has to say about them:
http://www.kenrockwell.com/nikon/d5100.htm

Cameta has all kinds of kits for this camera... Check them out!

Good Luck!

The D200 was certainly not one of Nikon's better bodies especially if shooting in low light. If buying used, I would probably look for a D90 which should be plentiful even packaged with a lens or two. A better decision might be to go into a new DSLR which would take advantage of some of the new features available. Go to Nikon USA >>>LINK and select a few in your price range and select them and do a compare. Then go to Thom Hogan's site>>>LINK and check out his reviews. Often there are refurb units which can save a few bucks but still have the standard warranty. You can find these at Nikon USA, Adorama, B&H, Midwest Photo and others.

The same can be said about Canon but I am a Nikon user and more familiar with their products.

I have a Cannon T1i and need to upgrade. I looked at the EOS 60D which is the base "D" model camera at this time.

I need better low light sensitivity and hi ISO performance. The T1i gets grainy really above @ 800 and above. Also focusing speed/tracking focusing.

Thanks.
