Ok guys here is my Formal Introduction,

I live in Southern IL and I'm Completely new to DSLR
Equipment I'm using is a Canon T1i body
Lenses i have are EFS 18-55mm IS and EFS 55-250mm IS
At his time I'm still looking at flashes (Thought I'd buy the Speedlite 580EXII but now looking more at the 430EX II)
Home Track is I-57 and Gateway International.

I figured I'm going to have more question then just the one I posted earlier about flashes so thought this would be a start.

Looking for a camera for my wife. Something with no shutter delay, around 10-12mp, and as cheap as I can get it...lol

Hi, my name is Becky. I am from Laurel, Mississippi. I love to take pictures of just about everything! I dont have a fancy camera, just a Kodak Easyshare Z710- 7.1MP. I thought maybe I could learn some stuff on here. Our home racetrack is Hub City Dragway in Hattiesburg, MS. We go to Cruisin The Coast every year.

Hey All, I'm Donnie, new to the site, studied photography 15 yrs ago in college (we shot film back then). Since then I've always had a nice "point-n-shoot". Then I was bit again back in Feb. at the "Drag Radial vs. the World" in Southern Georgia (SMGP) went to watch a buddy of mine race (Mark "Woody" Woodruff). I was at the starting line with my Sony Cyber-Shot hoisted in the air, snapping some shots when I noticed to my right, all these photogs with these huge camera bodies and exhaust size glass attached to them. Kinda felt like a little-bitty worm on a big [email protected]#$ing hook. Anyhoo, at the end of the night Mark purchased a couple photos of his cars from one of them and that was it, I was truely inspired by these images to get back into it. Upon my return home I did some studying and research, now I shoot a EOS 7D, kit lens, and a 70-200mmIS glass. I travel to alot of the local Outlaw events surrounding the St. Louis area, Benton Raceway (I-57), Gateway International Raceway, Sikeston, and Ozark Raceway Park. Each outing I learn something new about this camera and my shots become a bit better. This is way cool that "yellowbullet" has a forum for drag racing photogs. Sorry for the lenghly intro., on my third cup of coffee this morning and getting ready to leave for a race. As soon as I figure out how I'll get some images posted.

Live in NE Ohio and visit Dragway 42 often. Shooting with an out of the box Nikon D40, not the greatest but it's what I have.

Messing around lately with post editing, pseudo HDR, etc....

My names Jason and currently do not have a camera but am in the market for one big time. Had a point and shoot by canon until it was stolen. With having a baby and what not kinda made buying a good camera hard, but at the same time makes me want a camera that much more. I also work at 75-80 dragway so it would be nice to be able to go shoot some there when and if I am ever off.

Welcome guys! Invest in a really good flash so you only have to buy once! I know the price is high, but you could always recoup it if you decide to sell your system. Plus that flash is going to pay off in the long run! Good Luck!

Is there anyway to adjust point and shoots to take some decent pictures. I like taking pictures, but cant justify the coin for a SLR style camera...and don't know how to adjust the p-n-s enough to make my pictures look like anything. Here are the best I have.
