Default Any Ford 4.2 V6 techs on board??

Looking for tips on how to install the plastic clips on a Freestar intake runner control lever.

The front one isnt too bad but the rear one is really tough to see let alone work on.

Anyone who has worked on a Freestar/ Windstar will know what I'm talking about.

Any input is appreciated!!

Fuck that FORD SHIT!!! I say over and over... Any Ford lover doesn't know how to turn a God damn wrench because they would HATE Ford the most!!! On to your question.....I believe the intake has to come off. Been awhile on that junk, but I stopped doing them because fuck that shit!!

While I appreciate the encouraging words it's not my Ford Freestar.

I'm trying to help a retired senior keep his Freestar on the road a while longer.

I only have one functioning hand after my stroke so I'm not as agile as I once was.

Admittedly it's a tough SOB to do any work on, took hours to change plugs after removing the cowl/wipers.

I'm still hoping for a sly tip on how a creative Ford Tech might get the rear clip on without pulling the intake.

It takes very little time to pull the cowl that houses the wiper system, about 7 screws and the washer hose and wiper arms.
Pull the wiper arms off, pull up on the trim panel (just clipped on) pull the washer hose off at the nozzles.
Look for and remove bolts holding down the cowl assembly 8mm or 5/16 4 on the outer edges and a couple in the air intake area and it will come right out.

Thanks, but I got the cowl/wipers off compete.

Got the IRC unit off and a new clip/bushing in the forward lever (right bank)

Can't get the clip/bushing in the rear lever (left bank)

Tough spot, couldn't get any tool to work.

Hoping for a trick or procedure that I haven't thought of!!

Only have one good hand presently and trying to help out a senior.

Any tips appreciated!!!!
