I'm no computer expert. But back around 2000's year I ran one with the XP Pogram. It don't take much.

I have the Grid, but bought a HP laptop from Costco. Was $299 and does everything I need it to do, even has touch screen. Decent laptops are a dime a dozen these days, just depends on what features you want.....you don't need anything but a basic one for that, so I'd bet you can find one for less than what I paid. Best Buy, Wally World, Target, just about any retailer will have something that will get the job done.

I think it just needs Windows .

I ran mine with a gen 1 Surface Pro , that Im still using today with the Holley EFI .

I like the touch screen . Not for everyone but once you get use to it ......

XP works, but is not supported anymore.
Win 7 is also going to be unsupported end of the year.
And I believe you need a lap top with a 9 pin serial port, or an adaptor. And some adaptors have communication issues.
So if you have issues you will need to go to a private it guy.
Win 10 is currently still going.
