Default Re: Cage certs

Who's driving the car and what do they want for safety? Building the car to pass tech inspection for a certain ET is only part of it. You'll need all the personal safety gear and then licensing to be completely legit. If you don't plan on doing everything, no need in building the car to pass tech.

I know plenty of guys that run pretty fast cars that would never pass tech for the times they run. They also aren't licensed and usually don't have the proper equipment. It's not at all something I recommend or promote. My attitude is safety is not where you want to skimp. I'm not concerned about comfort. I want to walk away from a 150 mph crash.
