My buddy has 235's on his 72 Nova, even my 255's look a lot bigger than the 235's! I'm glad I didn't go with 275's. I can't stand all the 275 class cars with 12" rims, and tires stretched to shit, it obviously works, but they look like shit!
Yeah, the size difference between a 235 and 255 is about the same as the size difference between a 255 and 275. Going from a 275 to a 235 is a HUGE leap! Funny, I built my car to run 315s and ran 12s with them. Then I went to 295s and 275s and ran 10s. Now I run 9s with 255s and plan to eventually run 8s on 235s.....I think I might be doing things backwards....

Damn, that's pretty darn good. The Focus has gone 12.93 @ 105mph but that was before the Cosworth manifold, ported head, cams, better wastegate, LSD, 4.06 gear, meth injection, and tune. I've also dropped another 80lbs off the car since then. Just haven't had a chance to get back to the track.
Thats pretty quick for a focus. What numbers do you plan on running? if i could get my gtp to run 11.5 ill leave it alone lol best part about the car....is it has 185k miles and beats up on shit every day

Are you pulling timing or using a 7531 box?

Sounds like you're doing things the right way to me!! :p

I wouldn't be worried about it, you got a damn good chassis under that car, should go down the track on 235's just fine!

LOL....fuck that noise....I'm a MAN. I footbrake and run an MSD 6AL.....and my timing is always set at 38 degrees.
That is cool. I was wondering as I know a lot of the use a box to get out of the hole and then ramp back up the power.

I just hope i can get it to hook out here lol norwalk and thompson, arent really prepped for radials...Milan is, but thats a 2.5 hr haul
I usually run on tracks that aren't prepped at all. Got my license on a wed night TNT street car night with zero prep on 255s. Took me about a dozen passes hot lapping the car to finally run a 9.

The current stock bottom end record is 12.38 so my goal is 12.37 or quicker. lol He ran that with 265whp on a 125 wet shot on VP-110 at 2410lbs. I'm making ~305whp at 14psi on pump 93 at about 2550lbs. His redline is 7,000rpm and mine is 7,800rpm. He has a 3.82 gear with 23" tires and I have a 4.06 gear with 24.5" tires so roll out is about the same. My top end charge with the turbo is a good bit stronger than his with the nitrous though.

My Focus has ~68,000 miles of which ~49,000 are boosted miles. My ultimate goal is to be the first one in the 11s and it has the power to do it.

Any radial car has a hard time running at norwalk or thompson. I dont know if its the glue or what, but if you have a turbo car on radials and run at norwalk and cant get it to hook, slap on slicks and it hooks like a mother fucker lol Milan is more of a heads up radial track and theres alot that run there.
