How to run Toploader behind Chevy

I looking to run a Ford Toploader behind a Chevy engine.

What all do I need to do?
Specifically for a bell housing. I would prefer to keep and use my foxbody clutch cable if at all possible after all this is in a foxbody platform.
I have searched for days and cant come up with any solid information.

Don't know if this will work or not, might call them.

I don't remember anymore a couple of guys with GM engines in Jeeps / etc used to do this. You could even buy a Lakewood/ Chev pre-drilled to accept the Ford box. So far as I know, all is needed is a matching spline disc and fiddle with the pilot bearing a bit. I don't remember anymore what they did for a TO

Lakewood used to make a scattershield for adapting. Only other thing needed was an adapter for the pilot bearing. I don't think lakewood makes it anymore though.

Lakewood made a scatter shield that accomplished this I believe P/N 15060. Not sure that it would be direct fit for the fox cable setup but nothing that couldn't be figured out. I know advance adapters makes an adapter bell for the jeeps that used the 4cyl gm motor with a ford trans that would work too. You can do it with a standard chevy scatter shield but you will either need to turn down the bearing retainer snout to run the chevy t/o bearing or turn down the register to fit the sbc bell as well as modify the bolt pattern. If I remember correctly you need to do some pilot bushing modification as well if using the sbc bell. Hope this helps.

I have a Toploader behind a 355 sbc. Made my own bellhousing and turned down the Toploader collar od to fit a Chev style hyd t-brg. Also made an adapter housing to fit the Ford needle style pilot into the Chevy crank. Here's a link to a page about the car, about 1/2 way down the page there's a section that covers fabricating the bellhousing... http://grannys.tripod.com/20102.html

Pretty normal to see a Prostock Camaro with a top loader and 9" in 69/70.

Maybe try one if the bellhousing manufacturers. Like Browell's, trick titanium, maybe even quicktime.
