I would like to see a Jensen Interceptor completely restored and the front end slightly extended to accommodate... wait for it...

a purpose-built, V12 LS1 (519 cubic inches of V12 goodness that originated in Australia)! This engine consisted of two LS1 engines that had been had been "sliced up" and rewelded (and the cilinders re-sleeved) to make a marvelous engine. a twin four-barreled carbureted version (on a dyno, generated 712 horsepower @ 6300 rpm and 625 ft-lbs of torque @ 5800 rpm.

When they put fuel injectors on the ehgine, and dropped it into a late-1960's Camaro, the figured jumped another 40+ horsepower and 35+ pound-feet of torque.

The engine delivers power smoothly, and if the aluminum V12 block can be a one piece cast item, it can deliver even more power with the legendary durability of the LS engines. The "capper" is that they use a large number of LS1 parts off the shelf without any alterations. Talk about "The Ultimate Grand Touring American Engine"!

(I like to think so)!

How wonderfully articulate! (A lobotomy may be in order to improve your mental acuity). :p

If you look up the engine at: V12 ls1 - we talk with the creator -You Tube. you might find the concept both interesting and iluminating.

The world doesn't revolve around V8 engines (There are other configurations as well). Does the 7.0 Liter Jaguar hold any meaning for you?

He's not saying it's a bad idea. He's saying this is for build threads. Build it!

My opinion is that you will never build it......
