I picked up a Willys with a 289/302 SBF. As a GM guy I don't have much experience with the Ford motors. I want this to be a fun weekend truck but something that's enjoyable to drive on the street. It needs lots of work but I want to get an idea for motor parts and setup. It's been sitting for about 5 years not running.http://i45.photobucket.com/albums/f89/akusmc/14928406-CF74-49C5-A3E1-68EE144FC153.jpg

Thanks! The plan is to try and get it running now that the weather is nice.

Pulled the plugs today...I'm no gas motor guy yet but eek!! Had fuel pour out of #8 and #4 cylinders.

Cylinders 1 through 4:

Tried barring motor over and couldn't. Plan is to soak cylinders in Marvel Mystery Oil or PB Blaster.

I think the motor is a 302. On the intake the firing order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8

Cool truck, I had a 47 in high school with a sbc in it and stock driveline. A lot of good memories with it.
