Was doing some research on a Classic FAST system I have and saw that you can't run Alpha-N and do Dry Nitrous, something doesn't work-out right. They say to run it in Speed Density mode, or else you have to do something strange, not quite sure what they want you to do........Anyone have any experience with it, or the newer FAST/XFI stuff with Dry N2O?
Probably has to do with the fuel tables and alpha-n. In speed density mode the fuel added in the nitrous tables is added to the fuel from the ve tables. When you run alpha-n all of the fuel comes from the nitrous fuel tables. The system doesn't use the alpha-n fuel table for any of the fueling when the nitrous becomes active. There's also air temp compensation that comes into play.
Jeff Prock is definitely the guy to talk to. FAST altered firmware for him for nitrous use in the older boxes. C-com was a little different also.
I agree with these guys, Jeff is helping me with my XFI Dry set up.
He has saved me alot of time, money and pistons with his help.
