Meaney took a look at it and figured it out quickly after watching the cam and crank signals on a scope...it was losing crank signal at that magic 6700 rpm zone. We threw on a 24-tooth reluctor wheel and an msd pickup and so far it's running great. The reason it was not launching great was because I had to space the wheel out from the balancer and it's not very thick (got a new one on the way) and it was vibrating/flexing and causing it to lose cam-crank sync and then it would resync and that process sounds just like a 2-step. Once it got past that rpm it was smooth sailing.

That was only 10 lbs of boost too.

I'm actually leaving to pick up the new wheel from John in like 15 minutes and I'll hopefully be back testing this weekend.

Can't say enough good things about John. He's helped me out a ton and all he asked for was a ride down m59.

John knows his shit, now just ask for a ride in his vette when we finish refreshing the motor. I still want a ride in it.

I ran NOET since I have a few local grudge matches to take care of. It was nothing worth writing home about with that launch though trust me.

How much boost are you planning on running once it's dialed in? Good to see you back out testing some more and making progress!! Are you happy with what it went considering the small issues and only 10psi???

No grudge with you...you'll be outta my league.

I am more than thrilled with what it went considering the 1.65 60 ft and the cam-sync errors. Oh yeh, I can't forget short-shifting, and the crazy hot/humid weather. People said they were down 4-5 mph average. I don't know if I buy that based on the fact that it went faster than it should have on 10 lbs even in that weather. Then again, I have air-to-water intercoolers so I'm sure that helps fight some of the hot weather.

I think that's all the excuses I have for now...but if I think of any others, I'll update this post. haha I really hate making excuses but in all honesty, I think there's another 4-5 tenths in the car with a good launch and really ringing her out at that boost level. And then the boost goes up to around 22-24.

Yeh definitly a big curve and I would be at AA meetings if it wasn't for a lot of people helping out so I definitly appreciate it.
