I had to shut my '79 TransAm down at 140mph+ on highway,
MY DAD was drivin it! and my 18 y/o HS senior wants to know
why I want let him drive it to school?

He has a 95 Z28 and a 89 Camaro RS - and has been told -
Racing is for the track.

street racing has been in my family for years. you meet up on a road side, the sun shinin, all the bs bein told. then the rubber starts burnin and you get that wiff of fuel mixed with it. you run collect your money or just dawg out your friend. our hang out was good ol Kmart parkin lot. 300 people argueing on who is the fastest, the popo ridin around sayin they gonna be racin tonight we gonna get em. knock on wood they never did. We took our racing serious out there. cars come from other counties and states. I like goin to the track and all that but walkin out there to the center of that road. its a totally diff feelin from the trac. i flagged prob 95% of the races we ever raced and that is the best feelin when 2 cars burnout, and are waiting on you to make a move.Now these lil 4 bangers go out here and run down the interstate, and do their lil roll race crap. the news comes on and you hear about a street racing accident, then come to find out its a honda, or a toyota. they weren't street racing. they were road racing. street racing is from a dig, i never raced anyone around curves for a mile and called it street racing. i think that is a big factor in why they have cracked down on street racing.. Damn fast and the furious. oh well i guess its all crazy, but hell jumpin out of a perfectly good airplane is too

We took our racing serious out there. cars come from other counties and states.
