Bad Ass Ride. You did a Great Job of building not only a fast car but a real sleeper. Most you see don't run half that quick!
Congrats!!

I've seen the car at a few events including 1320x at MIR. To look at the car you would never expect it to be that fast. Nice job!!!

Thank you. I have a set of friends who all built similar type cars. It really helps to have a group of guys to bounce ideas off of and see what works and what does not.

Thanks! Once upon a time the car was that 89 midnight blue with a blue interior. Painting it black and getting rid of the blue interior was definitely a good move!

I am sure it would not surprise you how many times street racers have asked me to bring my car out. A lot of guys are happy to bet on me at the track and sucker their friends who show up later in the day and have never seen my car run.

In fact, when I first saw it I assumed it was just a street car that belonged to one of the race teams that was there (it was parked near the Anger Management Racing trailer) and I thought, wow, thats a really clean fox. Then I saw it run and just about shat myself. I was in the tower with a room full of about 15 hardcore fans/racers and we all were like "Did that car just do that?"
It leaves the line kinda lazy and then just builds speed and looks like a train going down to the big end...
Dude, you have a serious bruiser on your hands there and much respect to you for it....AWESOME
Thanks. I was probably hiding under the tent of the guy pitted next to me. It was so hot out! I had hoped to hit an 8 second pass during the event, but it just wasn't going to happen without upping the boost.

Thank you. I am a huge viper fan. Hope you get yours back running soon. I definitely want to see yours run too.

Congrats!!

Half the fun is definitely the surprised look on people's faces after a pass. People at 1320x were definitely looking at me strange when I wrote the 8.95 dial in on the car for the bracket challenge.

Major props to you. Your car is the shit.

That's an 8.50 car with 160mph traps

A lot of the tracks around here know the car pretty well so they know it has everything to pass tech. The car has a cage that is certed to 8.50. I made sure when it was done that it was tucked in as much as possible. The top cross bar by the windshield is tucked up against the headliner to the point you can barely fit a zip tie between it and the headliner.

I have a wolfe mount for the chute so it is easy to take on and off. I think I am pretty much done being able to get away without running it on the car. Everyone knows the car can trap 150+ so they are starting to yell at me for not having the chute on the car.

Here is a pic of the car where you can see the mounting hole in the bumper:

Here is a pic where the chute is actually mounted:

The chute kind of screws up the sleeper effect, but I think most people just think I might be a poser ricer sticking a chute on a car for looks

I saw the whole in the bumper for the chute, just didn't have it on the car, sleeper right!

Thanks. I know that I give up a lot on the et side because of the 17 inch rims, but it really is fun to do something different.

I did not build the car to fit into any particular class of racing so i'm just basically out there to have a good time.
