Default Drag Week 2014?

Does anyone know if Drag Week will be in Bowling Green Ky again this year and if they plan to keep it the second weekend in Sept?

How, when and where do you sign up? Does it feel to a cap? I usually do super chevy but do to work schedule will not be able to. Currently I have the second week in September off and would like to do drag week but don't want to miss out because they only signed up on a certain, date and time.

Thanks.

I searched and found the rules but did not find where, when and how to sign up.

Okay. I had heard that once they announce it fills up instantly. I just didn't want to miss out. Looks like that is my only weekend available this year and would hate to miss out. Moving the fuel cell around so I can put a trailer hitch on etc....

Thanks.

You might as well be watching paint dry. Keep an eye on Bangshift forum in the early spring.

P.S. you don't have to cut a good light at Drag Week, but you do have to stay in the lane you start in.

Stock 48. You will smoke me but maybe we can get a video of us racing if I can get my car in the 8's by then. I know you have to be 8's to even be competitive.

You never know my stock engine will have another season of beating on it by then lol. It depends on class and rules but my car is only legal to 8.5 so if it's a low8 high 7 class I won't be able to do much due to having to keep at 8.5 and slower. It would be cool if they ran thru the high altitude tracks in Co and NM as my 8.5 up there would be more competitive.

Wasn't the winning average in the small block power adder around 8.75? I won't be near an 8.50 but hope to be 8.80-8.90's.

"Street Race" SBPA was an 8.80 average. "Super Street" PA was 8.0's. So it kinda depends of your level of modification.

Yeah, I think we are Street Race power adder. 8.80 sounds right. I had heard around an 8.75. I think I can get there and I drive mine an average of 300 miles a week with an occassional 3 hr drive. So no Super Chevy for me this year and hope to finish Drag Week and average under 9.

Good to know. I read the rules and it looks as though my car would be Street Race, small block power adder. I am all original, (sheet metal, suspension, interior....not engine and turbo's. lol) with a 370 and twin turbo's. Completely licensed, tagged, insured, and raped daily.

"turbos and intercooler in front of the firewall" keeps me out of the street race class. I couldn't let all of that space in the front of the box go unused.
