Default 67 Chevelle LS-2 6sp.

Thought I would start a thread showing a few pics of my 67 Chevelle. I found a new in the crate LS-2 motor, low mileage 6sp. Tremic, narrowed 9inch, and stuck it all in a (already) back halfed 67 Chevelle. The back half was already done and frame powdercoated/front end rebuilt when I got the project. Took about 2 years to get her on the road. Been on the road about 1 year and put over 4000 miles on her so far. Running a 31.5" X 18" M.T. ST Radial tire. With the 411 gears she is only spinning 1400RPM's at 70 boogying down the freeway.
The only pics I have in Photobuckkkkkk are during the build. I will post a couple of those and try to get a few more recent. She is a hoot to drive and hope you enjoy.
Still got a few things to do to her. But almost every weekend I get to take her out and have fun with her. As to E.T.'s nothing yet. Building a drag car 67 Nova to cover those duties.

Here is a more recent shot taken late September at the Run to the Pines Car Show in the cool White Mountains of AZ. 7200' Elevation, so yes, we do have country other than desert and road runners.

Last one. Sorry for the multiple posts. Not a post Whore, just not smart enough to be able to load multiple pics onto one post.

Thanks for all the kind words guys. I appreciate it. Car is a blast to drive and gets just shy of 20 MPG. Of course it would do much better if I drove it a little easier.

One last (sorry) pic of what my 67 Chevelle looked like the day I brought it home. before the LS-2.

that was it. No front clip, interior, drivetrain, bumpers, etc.
Most people (those with more sense) would have walked away shaking their heads.

Nice build. No criticism, just curious. Why the big front tire? Looks like you can barely turn....again please don't take this the wrong way. Just curious, some people have their reasons.

What is the color?

I will try and post a couple pics here. No headers, running stock exhaust (probably on the to do list next year), F-body oil pan (small notch in back of crossmember plated back), cut outs and pipes run behind rear tires.

1320/150; You are right. Picked the tires and not the greatest guess I ever made. Will rub just a tick during hard turn in parking lot. Another to do item for next year. For sure.
