Default Skip White Performance

Anyone ever buy from them? I am looking at their rotating assemblies and wonder why they are at a lower cost. Seems like a lot of balanced parts for a lesser amount.

Example, 995.00

Don't buy from skip. Call white performance, skip is the son and he has a rep. I bought a SHP, rotator, pistons, heads, white performance did all the machine work and it was spot on. Can't beat his prices.

Ya I know that was just an example. I was going to call them and check on having the better stuff, and also a small domed piston. I am more concerned on how good he does his work and still be cost effective.

, thanks all !

Yeah cast crank, what do you guys expect for the money?
Looks like a good deal if its all he says it is. Sometimes those cranks are a little big, and the x size bearings are high, but thats building a motor. Somebody buy and try, tell us how it runs!

Skip is Fred whites's nephew.Skip used to run the parts dept. and Fred run the machine shop, they had a falling out and Skip went out on his own. Fred has some of the best equipment around and has a great group of guy's working for him, they have done my machine work for years. They move so many part's is the reason the price is low, Fred (whitesperformance) usually has a little better price and every thing is done in house, just call and tell them what you want and they will take care of you. Whites peformance is not a backwood's fly bynight operation

His stuff is at a lesser amount because the products are of lesser quality. Be very very very leary of the connecting rods. If you are looking to put some windows in the side of your block this is the way to go for sure. :

^^^^^This is the truth!.......I have done a couple of engine builds using Fred White and his group and I can tell you they are first class.... I have no dealings with Skip and have no need to.....I know the people at Fred's and they are very knowledgeable, honest, and just good people.

Actually neither one has a stellar rep around here, I think Skip just makes White's look better.
As far as just buying parts you're fairly safe but know what you are buying, they are a large importer. As far as "balanced", I'd have it rebalanced by someone you trust. no different than buying heads, you're better off buying bare castings and having them assembled by your professional.
