Default Strange Brake pads

The square brake pads, are they strange only or are they modeled off another vehicle?....in other word can I go to the auto parts store and tell then I want pads for a XX year, XXX car and end up with what I need.

Specific aftermarket pad. They are not Strange only, but are designed for the aftermarket calipers. They have a part number on them and you can source them somewhere other than Strange, but they never came on a vehicle from the factory.
