Just stay away from an aluminum shaft with that much fukin HP, good god. Pretty cool looking failure though how it spiraled up like that.

So what is used for that kind of power? Carbon fibre wrapped aluminium drive shaft?

They make 3" and 3.5" moly steel drive shafts that will take a serious beating. I am personally going with a 3.5" mark williams for my car which I am hoping makes 1700-1800 torque on with some boost when I am done building this pile

Aluminum shaft failures. Any tube flaw could cuase one. A good sized stone chip in a high powered car would be enough. Do some reading on the materials propertys of aluminum and then on steel and then on chromoly. Steel is the best choice for shafts.

It sounded like it broke under deceleration.....clicked it into neutral. Most guys say not to do that or it could cause the tranny to explode. The front of the driveshaft came out when the tail housing broke, then it got twisted up and broke. That's my theory anyway...lol.

Not a very good advertising ploy for Dynotech drive shafts!
