I would listen to him when I was kid. He was on a local station but I don't think that he was actually local at all. Maybe he was syndicated and was on several stations across the country. I saw him at a Hollaween huanted house that was sponsered by the local radio station that he was on.
He was cool. RIP Wolfman

Haha.. AG was on last night and I flipped it on at that part. In the 80's we listened to him on Extra 104.1 here in the DC area.

'Takes me all the way back to the early 60's when the Wolfman was on the border blaster, XERF. Isn't that the coolest call ever for a radio station? Wolfman taught us to love the blues, which we never heard on the "white" stations in the States. Aretha; Bobby Bland, Slim Harpo, Wilson Pickett, and so many more white hot soul stars burned up the ozone to the roar of a half megawatt transmitter in the Mexican desert! Thanks for the ride, Wolfman! You were out of this world!

This is so true! Wolfman was like an underground radio station today that taught us all to respect one another and embrace the differences in our cultures, he was really cutting edge! Dave

To think, Wolfman, Howard Stern & Imus all worked at WNBC at the same time.... Management must have had their hands full.
