You should really go talk to some knowledgable Ford Techs, or some reputable diesel specialists, they will tell you the truth.

That's what the letter says they will pay not what those repairs cost.

Ford already went after International and lost. International counter sued because of the inventory Ford stuck them with and International won. From my experience in fleet maintenance industry and the 6.0, 6.4 all these problems came from Fords side of the engine. Their cooling system design and their fuel delivery system. All International did was supply a long block. The worst product we have ever run was these two engines. We can't get rid of them fast enough. We have tried everything we can (including what Fords recommends) and the fuckers still come apart. We had to start being proactive and installing larger oil coolers and servicing the coolant more often than any other piece of equipment we run. Bottom line good luck to any of you that own one. If it isn't fucked up yet, it will be.

This as far as the ambulance chasers goes. I'd say you have you numbers backwards though.

Maybe someone could post a poll here,if it hasn't been done.6.0's with problems vs. no problems. My son's is a 04,and he has spent a fortune on it,plus all the warranty repairs.Wouldn't own one if it was given to me.

Got my letter yesterday...Ford dealer covered the repairs on mine at about 70,000 miles on the clock. EGR cooler , oil cooler etc... then had to take back in a week later due to a chunk of carbon in the intake getting stuck somewhere in the tract almost shut the thing down one afternoon. ...at least thats what the service writer told me happened .
They replaced the intake manifold the second time around . What I don't remember is getting paid for the rental cars I was in for two weeks! Have to check my records. After that I've had no issues EXCEPT the damn FICM circuit board . Failed twice within a year...had it repaired, then covered under their guarantee . Have the EGR delete sitting in my closet...next time...all that crap comes off! Cheers , Johnny

Most of us know of the "fix" for these engines. The problem for us (my company) we can't fuck with any of the emissions on these trucks.
