What yr range, brand, 2dr-4dr, mileage, color, and how much do you want to spend?? That may help your post. There was one on RJ that looked like a good deal. It was in truck and trailer combo. Good luck.

2000 and up, must be road worthy, diesel,
And fairly good shape, no fix-uppers

If you are looking for a diesel 2000 and up relatively low price, consider a 99 to 02 Dodge dually 24 valve with a 5 spd or 6 spd and 4.1 gears. 2wd. It will be nearly impossible to find a 12 valve which would be the ideal. The reasom they are low price is 2wd and the body rusts. But get a Southern truck and it will be fine.

I have one and have just under 300k miles on it. Daily driver 20mpg. 14-15 towing a 12k enclosed trailer.

I drive 58-60 mph 2000 rpm. The most efficient for the Cummins.

You will need to look in the south for a 2wd as the hosrse people use these a lot. Good reason. Very low front end maintenance. You really don't want to have to fix a 1 ton 4wd and it happens. I have only replaced 1 hub/rotor ($200) on my 2wd. I also live in Minn and we do get plenty of snow and cold here. The trick is to have chains and don't go where you are likely to get stuck. The Cummins starts reliably down to -25 without a block heater too.

Absolutely get a manual trans as the autos are an expensive maintenance item. Yes you can get very good rebuilds for any diesel but they really cost. I've only destroyed one clutch and it was $1400 out the door to have a shop repair it. I could have done it myself but I lacked a shop at the time.

This vintage Dodge can be repaired at home pretty easily. There are Dodge boards that have repair fixes for everything that happens to this generation.

Good luck
