Default gf5r

i made a pass yesterday trans shifted fine but on return road it was acting wierd.so back @ my pit i put in neutral & reved the engine & it would bang into gear.never had anything like this happen.any ideals of whats wrong

Check your throwout bearing that it is fully releasing the clutch! Also, check all your stop adjusters on the shifter to be sure your getting completely out of each gear.

You were lucky it didn't get into two gears at once and really get ugly.

Sounds like the springs broke on one of the sliders. How many passes on it?

i got it used so im not sure .i usually tow back after a run but i drove it & bubba said i probably did he putting it into 1st while it was rolling

i used to break the springs atleast twice a year until i corrected what i did wrong...i no longer drive around the pits to get it warmed up....holding it in gear is a big no no in these trannys...when i come up the return road i catch it in 2nd gear get on it and coast as far as i can then come to a stop and put it back in gear... haven't broken one since but i got one more race @ M.I.R. this weekend....hope i didn't jinx myself...
