I have the Kestral hand held and it works out pretty well.
I usually open up an outside comaprtment on the motor home and hang it under there out of the sun with some air blowing on it. You have to keep it away from your body, generators and other sources of heat or cold that would skew readings. I only use on multi day events as a resource to watch for big changes.

the weather station doesnt care if your heads up racing or bracket racing. it still gives you the same readings.

i have an old computech race air. its very good. the kestrel is good too because of the wind meter.
grudge racers are just bracket racers without shoe polish
