Default Brodix "SR20" Off-The-Shelf Head Info!

SR 20 Head info…

I spoke to Mark at Brodix yesterday on flow specs and list pricing. He said feel free to spread word. As many of you know, the BB Chevy SR20 "off the shelf" head is now available, however nothing as of yet, has been posted on their site.. or anyone elses site, as of yet. I've been asked a lot lately if we are selling these... and I know many are waiting to jump on a set. You can expect a 4 to 5 week wait unless you can grab a set from Tracy at Sunset; they have some on the shelf sounds like and are an awesome shop to deal with. You can also purchase these through Brodix direct or through your favorite Brodix Authorized Dealer.

Basic info and LIST PRICING:

20 DEG VALVE ANGLE
440CC INTAKE PORT
2.400 INTAKE VALVE
1.800 EXHAUST VALVE
95CC CHAMBER
FLOWS 508 @ .900 LIFT
FLOWS 506 @ .800 LIFT
THE EXHAUST WILL FLOW 321 @ .800 AND 326 @ .900
Brodix BM 2020 STD DECK INTAKE Compatible
Brodix BM 2021 TALL DECK INTAKE Compatible ... among others of course.

*****
PER BRODIX, THE LIST PRICE FOR THE CYLINDER HEADS ARE $2665.00 EACH BARE AND $3239.00 EACH FOR THE PACKAGE WITH STEEL VALVES. 2.40 and 1.80's ...

Brodix will supply the Comp 948 Triple spring as their standard package... .900 lift capable. Need another, just ask Brodix or your dealer of choice... as other springs are available. Likewise with the titanium valve upgrades, as most will choose to at least upgrade the intake valve.

Hope this answers some questions. J

why do you guys keep posting on runner c.c ??? the runner cc doesn't mean chit and never has... what if the runners are 1-2" longer from the back of the valve to the runner exit i.e the cc of the runner but the runner is no bigger in c.s.a then a 340cc head from dart, afr, brodix etc etc..??? think about it guys. these heads aren't your run of the mill conv bbc head.

I know the port is an inch off the deck an the valve location is has been altered but I wouldnt think that would add 60 to 80 cc on lenght alone. I believe all these changes is why everyone is so eager to get there hands on them.

I realize these aren't your everyday BBC Head Jeff.. and there's more to the runner science than just what's stated for advertising purposes. Convenional? ... yeah, in the loosest use of the word.

It's just when you are so used to seeing your typical 345cc, 355cc, 383cc or even a 405cc advertised runner, then all of a sudden you see this big #... it does initially open your eyes.
..that's all.

I know of a 9.8 598 that's been 4.50s/7.20s at tick under 2000# in a 4 link dragster. Air was ok 2500 DA 49% humidity. 79 Degrees air temp. First shot at the converter. Will go 7 teens shortly. Ran on c15.
