That's not the issue... Too many people go fast with both types... It's nothing but preference

Been here. Copper oring, receiver grove , same heads 18 bolts leaked water . Probably never would have failed sealing cylinder pressure but I went another route because of the water

Cometic will give better water control but not as bullet proof IMO. For a 2500-3000 hp build I still think Steve went the right direction with Orings. Like Toma suggested , you may have to be proactive on seepage.

This stuff is normal , so cry me a river. if you don't have the patience or dedication for a project like this throw in the towel or slow it down. Haven't you ever wondered why there isn't thousands of people going this fast ? It's because it beats most people and You probably should just decide which guy your going to be.

Problem here is you want to best of both worlds.....streetcar-water/fast racecar and your car won't be really good at either one

Sound familiar Toma?

Ya and why did they start making billet heads ? Maybe just for the bling factor

Money is no option so this is new hiccup is an easy fix. Just read about some new BBF billet head that will bolt right on.

This is not surprising , just one example .......Murillo has the same motor and he had to pay his dues with cracking multiple sets of A heads until the stars lined up. Not sure why he went through hell and back himself when apparently all he should have done is simply PAY a pro to set his world records. Overnight success
