Default CO2 Bottle mounting, what position?

Bought a boost controller that uses C02, so I got a 2.5# bottle from Jegs but I don't know if it matters what position you would want to mount it. Is there a tube in C02 bottles like a nitrous bottle or is CO2 a gas?

We use it as a gas and I dont think there is a syphon tube in these bottles. Anyway but upside down or regulator not lower than bottom of bottle.

Always mount bottle right side up. Regulators can't handle liquid.

Is there anyone that sell a complete kit or do you have to make lines and everything yourself?

I don't know anything about a "boost controller" I use my air (co2) for the throttle stop. You might check with Biondo Racing they have all the air parts you should need...

And a 10 oz bottle usually last me all season..

Air systems typically use standard push lock fittings, the black plastic hose, etc. that you can buy pretty much any truck stop, NAPA, etc. It's all common industry stuff and easy to plumb. You can get the fittings in either plastic material or brass.

Something else worth investing in is a auto shutoff solenoid .................saves forgetting to turn bottle off or on.

What about the angle of the bottle, can I mount it horizontal or will that be bad for the regulator?

I'm using C02 for my AMS Boost Controller. I purchased the Billet Cage Mounts and Carbon Fiber Wrapped Bottle from RJ Race Cars. I also have an Dedenbear Auto Shut-Off, I used Braided Hose to plumb the system.

The Auto Shut-Off is a good feature for a street car, no getting out to turn system on...

I had mine mounted horizontal and found that I was using the liquid and not the gas, the bottle was going down real fast, so I moved it in a vertical position and the bottle as lasted a lot longer. I would think you could do it kind of horizontal ( as pictured above) if the bottom is lower than the top. You don’t want to be using the liquid. I also like the idea of the auto shutoff solenoid. I keep forgetting to turn it off!
