I know nothing about the current situation; but I have had a fair amount of dealings with Monte and have never had any negative experiences.

Not doubting that Monte is a great builder, but 2 years is a long time to wait just to get delivered a fucked up engine. I am a business owner so I understand that shit happens. The difference between a good builder and a great one is how he treats his customers. It is not easy people fuck up. Sometimes you have to drop everything to take care of a problem.

From what it sounds like is the op ran out of patience. I really dont blame him.

Timeline

Monte wanted to be part of this action.
Offered up a faster engine built by him.
Monte had engine for 2 yrs
customer got back engine
trouble with engine sent back to Monte
Monte had machinist look at it
Sat for two weeks. No time for repairs
Owner picked up engine and rebuilt
Coop made thread to shine light on problems he encountered.

I left out all problems because in all reality "he said she said" comes to play. Even tho both sides admitted to problems with build.

Nutswinger's damn near fell out of their computer chair's defending "The Man".
