Default Explorer 8.8 strength?

I'm using an earlier 91-94 Explorer rear. 31 spline axles and drum brakes. I'm going to run this for awile, but don't see c-clip eliminators for it. What would be a safe limit ? 450 hp? I was thinking of getting some foxbody eliminators and having them bored for the explorer axles but figured I would build a 9" first.

The explorer axles are 1.618" and the foxbody at 1.533".
