Nope. I've shot a bunch of Glocks and most were decent. I owned a Glock 36 for a while and it shot like a dream. Overall, they are not bad guns. The Gen 4s are the Mustang II of the Glock lineups, though.

Not a Glock fan, I'll never own one. I'll stick with my Sig or HK over a a Glock.

Anything that is most common round required. i want common but not top choice common like .223x39mm. i like my ak for close combat over the ar platform. i know the 7.62 will be a more likely available in shtf senerios. then again i could pick up a dead guys rifle and loads. like new never fired only dropped once. Lol
I like my sr9c but bored with it.

Also no gun without switch safety in it. i had an xdm but didnt like the safety design for ccw.

Yes Gary. Senior quit in 2002 and Junior quit in '06. A lot of RKBA people never forgave the Ruger's for their support of the Hi-Cap Mag Ban. I don't know who is running the company today.
Here is a letter Ruger Sr wrote to congress during the hearings in 1989:

"The best way to address the firepower concern is therefore not to try to outlaw or license many millions of older and perfectly legitimate firearms (which would be a licensing effort of staggering proportions) but to prohibit the possession of high capacity magazines. By a simple, complete and unequivocal ban on large capacity magazines, all the difficulty of defining 'assault rifle' and 'semi-automatic rifles' is eliminated. The large capacity magazine itself, separate or attached to the firearm, becomes the prohibited item. A single amendment to Federal firearms laws could effectively implement these objectives."

the last I heard the business is still family owned. The family is also a major donor to Hand Gun Control and the folks that run the Brady thing. But they are not the only ones out there that are big donors of course. I left the NRA after they crawled under Ruger's desk, and probably will never rejoin.

wow.. If I'm ever in close combat, something has gone horribly awry.

How did your AR not work up to the expectation in your close combat experience?

Feeding, yet its resolved. i just like a bit more metal flying from my end. ak is the most reliable asault rifle i know of(ask how many afgan and iraq vets had to buy their own stuff to make their rifles reliable in combat) ive got a few of them. nose heavy yes but to each his own. the ar platform is a great platform just not my go to for me.
