I have a Feathercarbon 6in, and my car is chopped 1.5". I am 6'2" and my seat is on the floor of the car. It is very hard to see, hard to line up in the groove and see anything close on the right side. I can stage fine and drive fine down the track, no problems there, but everywhere else it is a bit hard to navigate.

I have a 6in and I can't see shit. I'm 5ft 10 and I'm afraid I'm gonna hit somebody in the pits. I wouldn't even try it on the street.

I don't drive it on the street anymore with this build. I can take a pic from the inside tomorrow for you so you can see.
Thanks for the comment!

exactly. I once had a 6" on the street with a cage and it was brutal trying to see the front passenger end of the car when navigating in the parking lot for any reason.

yep..pretty much get used to only making left turns in parking lots and shit..lol

i org had a 3" cowl on my car and i had a guy come get it because he had a harwood 6" none extend and he couldnt see shit with it and wanted to drive the car on the street..my seat is low, mounted right on my holcomb bracket,im 6'1" and when i had my extended 5.5 on it i couldnt see shit..

think the op best bet would be get a clear lexan scoop built and turn it backwards.you can always install L brackets in the lip of the lexan scoop and then adapt a flat filter to it,,i would slop the top of the scoop so it would be the same angle as a cowl almost..then toss the filter in it..it will block some of your vision but not like a full hood.

my problem is i have a blo thru set up and with the cold side piping coming from the front a six inch dosn't start coiming up fast enough and im pretty sure it wont clear the piping. and the top of the carb bonnent is right at 6" from the hood line so im prety sure a the 6 inch wouldn't work with out cutting a hole in it.

^^ that looks great! and im pretty sure ive seen your car at gld love the plate! after seeing your hood i really am starting to think a 8 inch is way to big. guess my best bet is see if i can find a 6" hood ^^ that one looks like it would clear. need to find one and try it on my car, anyone near the wi/il border ? ha!

you still have yours?
