Default chevy aluminum heads 10088113

Anybody have any information on these castings? 10088113

chevy aluminum factory heads

Flow numbers?

What would be a good deal on these heads?

Would they be suggested?

Anybody use them with positive results?

Thanks

88-90 350cid heads with 194 int valve. 163 intake volume. It depends on what your motor is for. They are like using 305 heads on a 350 it seems to choke the motor down. I would save your money for AFR heads or something compairible. Buying a great set of heads is the #1 best thing you can do for your combo just make sure it isnt too big of a runner cause I've done that before too

Corvette 98 Tuned Port Injection heads... they can be worked with for a mild street build, but not worth the effort if you're looking for serious HP.

Ok, L98 heads is what I was thinking. Yes, I've seen them used in other applications, and they are not worth the time, money, and effort.

sorry to disappoint you But Ive been down that road of trying to save money only to spend twice as much a year later. what type of set up did you want them for. They might be good for like a 4wd offroad where you need low end torque.

Vortec heads are always a good low cost option, they make awesome torque, and decent horsepower numbers for such a small port volume, 170cc. There are several aftermarket Vortec heads that are affordable as well.

Jegs aluminum heads would be a lot better flowing deal, for not much more money, and much thicker decks. Vortecs flow much better too, for a factory head.

Flow about 190-195 @ .500ish. For what its worth, I bowl blended a pair pretty quickly, left them in carbide, flowed low 230's with the stock valve, put them on an undecked flat top 350 engine....9.7-1 compression or so..(piston was waaay in the hole), with a performer rpm manifold, a sizey hydraulic camshaft, 248/254 @ .050, .520/.520 on a 110 lsa, 750 holley dbl pumper, 4.10 gear, 4500 converter, ran easy low 12's at 3550 lbs. Im sure with more gear and time, 11's would be do-able.

85-91 corvette head and also used on the zz3-zz4 crate engines. you can make about 450p out of them. wont set the world on fire. 300 complete and ready to bolt on is not a bad price. a vortec head could probably make 10-15 more hp, but you would have to tack on the extra weight as well.

there are several company cnc porting them, well used to port them, and they can be good performers. but its not worth the $$$ if you don't already have a set as a $400 purchase plus 800-1000 in porting to bring them up to spec isn't worth it, the small chambers are nice however.

Yup L98 heads.....they're decent for what they are. My buddy has a set that he's going to put on a 350 to put in his truck. For a heavy truck they should make decent power/torque.
