Most of the classes like NMCA Real Street allow a IRS to straight axle conversion.

On a C5,C6 Corvette the front tunnel needs enlarged to allow for the trans & exhaust system,
custom made headers & exhaust, remove both fuel tanks & convert to fuel cell, new fuel system, new brake lines, shifter linkage etc, etc.

Not to mention new trans drive shaft, rear, etc. About 25K conversion.
Nobody forced you to buy a car designed for handling and road courses and build it to go drag racing.

For way less the 25 k you could just buy a different car and be instantly competitive, and the still have the vette to cruise and take turns.

You have terrible reading comprehension. I was requesting the rules clarify what is legal as far as large frame vs midframe The size was never a debate 80mm is fine by me. I already own a 80mm turbo that is legal by the rules, so what exactly was i "complaining" about?

My car is 3,645lbs, i'm looking for every crumb I can find in the couch.

I have a six speed Vette for that.

I wasn't asking for a bigger power adder for IRS Corvettes, just wanted the option to run a 10.5 bias tire instead of a radial.

Figured it be nice to see some different cars in this class.

I was just busting stones... I'd rather see a vette then another mustang, but I wouldn't spend 25k to do that conversion.

Looks like the rules are final anyway.

http://www.yellowbullet.com/forum/sh...d.php?t=445079

Payout isn't the greatest either compared to the others. I'd rather pay $15.00 more entry fee & run for a $1,000. to win & $400. RU, if ya know what I mean. lol

Good luck to you guys.
