Default griner brake which one

gut had a friend give me a th400 griner brake and trying to find out which one it is.
has two check balls in it and no part number that i can find.

Should be a number CNC machined right into the VB. Post a pic and we'll ID it here. Should only have 1 big plastic check ball.

May be the old cast brakes. Back then there was only 1 valve body and it was a 3speed reverse manual.

Thats an early cast model and im pretty sure it still retained the 34G10 part number.

Hey ! This is Griner

That Brake is old, old, old, But there is nothing wrong with it. It will still work better than any thing bought elsewhere.

That is the cast aluminum version (pre 1992), don't confuse it with the billet version. It will back up without poking the trans brake button, and it is much in demand by certain people that don't like the reverse safety feature.

One important upgrade, It appears that it has the black rubber balls. They need to be replaced with the white nylon type balls. This is most important !!!!
