Default Vega front disc brakes

Anybody know of a spindle that works with Vega factory control arms? Trying to put some disc brakes on but do not want to do the weld on Aerospace kit. I think it would be best to just swap the spindle. Thanks in advance.

S-10 spindles bolt up to the stock control arms, but you have to use a ball joint spacer. Definitely the cheapest and easiest way to convert to discs and 5 lug.

My dad put aerospace on his vega all the way around, There was no welding required. A little trimming is all. He goes 9.0's no prob stopping eather

Having done both the S-10 spindle swap, and the aerospace kit, I would have to say I prefer sticking with the stock vega spindles. All that is required is to cut off the original caliper ears, and weld on a tab for a third mounting bolt... Easy!
The advantage to going with the S-10 swap is availability of brake kits, and ball joints. But you will have to track down the spindles and get the spacers from V-8 monza. Either way you will have about the same amount of work so stick with what you got.

Bought my vega and it had the s-10 set up on it. I put stock vega spindals back on and did the aerospace kit. You do have to weld the tab on. Very easy.

I have some pics of the spindles when I was assembling the brakes. I'll post them when I get home.

i offer tubular control arms that use S10 ball joints and correct for the camber change and I add caster. i also do them for vega ball joints but don't recommend it the ball joints are no where near as strong as the S10's. if you want to stick with the stock spindles i recommend still using the S10 ball joints and just ream out the spindle taper to match the S10 BJ's
