Well here's the situation I'm 22 years old have a little college experience been working cheesy dead end jobs ever since I graduated h.s an I'm basically tired of it. I feel as ill never achieve the life I want at the rate I'm going and I've always had milita.y in the back of my mind As I guess you can says scape goat. I'm not getting any younger so this is my time to make a decision on what I wanna do in life. I have 2 cousins in the air force and my dad is ex-army so of course there gonna say go to the way they went but I want to hear the honest truth. On I guess which branch is a good branch to join, as in retirement, training, job placement such and so on

Retired Army guy, you really can not go wrong with either one. Air Force seem to treat people better, but they are stricter with punishment, not a lot of second chances if you screw up. The Army doesn't treat people as well but the promotions are faster and they give second chances if you screw up but are a good soldier. Look at what you want to do after the military and which one offers what you want. Then give it all you got and you will be successful.

Pay is the same as well as the benefits all across the board. I don't know how enlistment bonuses are right now. Other than that the pay, benefits, retirement etc etc is all the exact same. The mos technical jobs can be found in the air force and the navy. To get the best job possible you have to score good on the asvab. You have to make the ultimate choice on which branch. I am a little biased towards the marine corps. Not everyone can do it. Just know that deployments are in your future and once you sign the contract the military owns you for that amount of time

The Army and the Marine Corps are both going to be more physically demanding as well. Be prepared to get beat up if you make a career of it.

Army will also let you pick your job, albeit based on your asvab. Score high enough and do anything you want.

Talk to a recruiter and come back and tell us what they said and we can pick apart the lies and.tell you what to expect.
As for the enlistment bonus, I dont think we (army) are giving anything hardly anymore. Maybe 5k? Or so, but I guess.its better tham nothing. Really isnt a bad choice, all what YOU want to do and what you want out of it. There is alot of perks you get from being military. I like the things ive accomplished the most though.

Essentualy, I want to be able to receive training and life skills that'll help me in the long run and become something in life not just another Joe schmoes working for minimum wage, as well as doing something for my country in return for what its doing for me... I know this is a broad post in which there's alot answers and questions that can be made but any advice is great
