So who here thinks that Rodger Burgess cant hire the best clutch tuner in the country? The goal is to increase interest in the class, not restrict it to only people with a certain talent...

He had one of the best with the combo(personett). He got rid of him halfway through the year.

Personett seemed to be struggling quite a bit this year. IMO, the tuning Genius of Petty combined with the auto transmission finally gave the turbo powered cars the consistentcy needed to win in Pro Mod. Where did this technology and data come from? Look no further than Outlaw Style racing..not Pro Mod.

He did hire the best turbo clutch guy,

Showed how tricky turbo clutch deal is..

Really it seemed most ran well pretty quick.

There are just less variables in the converter deal. There able to run much softer on
First half of track then just poor the coals to it.

Basically how turbo 10.5 started

The best turbo clutch guy, and the best converter clutch guy have both been how fast with their setups? It seems to me that they are both right there with each other.

How many top notch clutch tuners are there in the country? For a class that is trying to wrestle its way onto center stage, where would be the sense in tying its hands behind its back?

I'm not saying there both not fast, just saying the clutch is much more difficult to tame.

And with difficulty comes less cars showing up, less cars showing up brings less exposure, less exposure causes less leverage with the sanctioning body.

So we should make it were every Joe blow with money can call r2b2 pay 275,000 and go out and run at the front with no talent.

There is a guy running a car there now that's showed he should not be driving one....

He had the most dominate car in the field when he stepped out of the car it went to the winners circle.

Just because you can buy one does not mean you can drive one.

Again, there are clutch guys for hire that anyone can get...Also, if 275,000 can get no talent to the front, aint that better than some classes that cost a million to do it?

If 16 of any on combo shows up the class dies.,

Look at promod history and you see the decline when one car is dominate

That's always goning to be the way it is with $$$$

Personally I wish it was harder to get the nhra lic.

If one combo is superior, and that causes more of them to show up, wouldnt you adjust the rules to reign in its superiority? Seems banning the better mousetrap would be a mistake.
