The spiral grooves appear to be pitch opposite of the rotation of the impeller-moving air column?

I've been wondering this for years, ever since I pulled the volute from my first YS Trim back in '99. The interior finish wasn't what I woulda' called "ideal" in any way, shape or form. Steve continues to impress the hot rod world with real-world testing and his clear-thinking approach to making power.

Must be what the air needs, kinda like the function of the stator in a torque converter....

Earlier I said they were pitched the other way. Looks like he's done them counter rotation to increase pressure at the intake!

The shape kind of reminds me of the Supernatural bell........

But this is what I think we will need for those running F3's on SBC's/SBF's.....

There is a little more than a simple radius on the bell. the bell alone has been worth about 70 percent or so of the gain at higher RPMs 0% at low Blower speeds. The internal mods are worth 30 percent or so at high Blower speed and 100% at lower speeds.

Testing, spend money, test more, spend money and test more, oh and then I spend more money and test more stuff.
