I dont know which brand boost controller you are looking at so I cant say for sure but some of them will have a tendency to chatter the blower gears . I personally think that the 7531 box is better than trying to bleed off boost . JMOP

Ihave a 60mm HKS and a manual controler. Full open is 25lbs and closed is 12lbs. Will be dyno tuning soon at BB&T. I did it so I can drive it on the street with 93 and race with better gas and not change the belt. I will have 3 tunes on the car, street, race, and kill.

It been done before but every one that has tried has tried it with the bypass valve instead of a a waste gate like the turbo guys use. If you was to use a waste instead of a bypass valve Im sure it would be tons better an work.

Basically its like putting a controllable leak in your intake tubing. It doesn't make you faster but allows more rpm with less power. You can drive a 1500hp car on the street and rev to red line without wheel spin if a lot of your boost is being dumped.

Yeah they work, I have a Synapse 60mm wastegate that dropped my boost from 22+psi to 17psi and we still had major traction issues but this is BBC procharged with BS3 on 28x10.5's! I am now using a 7531 to control power so I am going to sell this one. They do work, easy to install and adjust escpeacially if u need a 10 psi street tune the so if terested PM and I'll save u some money. later

so you still have the procharger bypass installed correct? and on top of that, you use the wastegate with the AMS 1000 for the level of boost? or completely remove the procharger bypass and install the wastegate?

Yes. Here's an example with two Tial wastegates, two Procharger BOV's, two geardriven Prochargers and an AMS1000.........
