Default Supertuck came in yesterday and.....

The kydex on it doesn't fit a gov 1911 (what I ordere this one for) as good as the kydex on my minituck for a keltec PF9 does. The leather is not cut the way it should be (too much hanging out here, not enough there). The leather is too short on the bottom where the slide/barrel is and that of the gun hangs over past the leather so you get a cold slide on your ass every morning. Too mcuh excess leather sticking out to the right of the rear site that's not needed no matter where you wear it. To say the least I was disappointed in this one especially after waiting 5 weeks. They are going to send me a new one in about a week to see if the kydex shape is any better (this is not a simple retention problem for those that know how this type holster works).

What are they going to do with the one you've been wearing on your ass?

They will get you straightened out. My buddy sent his in because the kydex cracked, they called and asked if he wanted new leather as well because it was a little worn!!! Great company with a great product in my opinion. I wear a supertuck almost everyday.

I love the other ones me and my wife have. The fit is great on both of them but this one just doesn't fit the gun worth a crap. They are going to send me another one for me to see if it's any better. If it is they get the old one back and scrap it or do whatever they want because I cut it. If it's not any better then they get both of them back and they get to fix the shape of the one I cut and send it back to me. I would normally heat it and reshape it myself but since it was sort of warped right out of the box I'll let them do it especially since they're going to send me another one and try to fix the problem without me being out of a holster that I just got through waiting 5 weeks for.

Who knows. I cut the leather on it so it would be shaped the way they should've cut it to begin with. They said they couldn't resell it since I cut it, of course, but would replace the whole thing since the kydex was basically warped right out of the box. If I had not cut it they said they would resell it.

Did you order a custom supertuck to cover up all of the ugly trigger? OK I had to break you chops a little, now some better questions. I'm not sure of this statement but a few weeks back you were on the hunt to buy a 1911. If this is your first 1911 S/A please make sure you get some good range time with it before you carry it as a defense gun. Even go to some IDPA shoots with it. Push a lot of rounds down the pipe. When I decide on a defense ammo like Gold dots, Starfire etc. I always run at least 200 rounds of that exact ammo through the gun before I trust it with my life. Ya it might cost $300 for the ammo but that's a small price to pay for staying alive. I can't wear a full size 1911 in a IWB holster. I have a 33" waste and it just doesn't work out well. My carry is a Glock anyway but there is nothing I like to shoot better then a 1911 .45.

No that feature comes standard on all of them.

It's eaten 50 rds of 230 gr ball ammo, with another 100 to go so far, without a hiccup. This is the first pistol I've ever owned that makes me want to shoot it and feel like I can't wait to get another chance to shoot it again. I now carry it everday with Rem golden sabre 230gr HPs (gonna pick up some Hornaday critical defense or corbon powerball tommorrow at the gun show) in it and have never fired one of them in this gun but have performed another test to see if it will eat those the same as it does the ball ammo. It passed with flying colors and I will now trust my life to it with a bullet that has never been fired in this gun. Many will not do this but this test has never failed me yet and I've tried on 6 different pistols so far. On all 6 guns I tried it on, if it passed the test the gun went on to consume 100-200 rds of the same ammo without a hiccup. I won't waste any more ammo verifying after this test and from now on will trust this test as it has yet to tell me a lie.
