Default Any of you full tree bracket racers use a blocker/blinder??

Just throwing it out there to see who else blocks the tree and why? Last year in the stocker I found myself counting down on the tree. I would either be .600 dead late or .499 red. never found my grid then I tried a blocker. once I got used to it I started going rounds. the last couple races I was pretty much dead on.......

I'm going to build one for the Super Stock car before the first race and try my luck. biggest problem I have is blocking at night.....seeing the bleed from the 2nd amber.

any other full tree guys blocking??

I used to block the top two before I went to a delay box. It worked well, but I love my delay more.

Thats why I said high .00 to .020 That can still get it done in 1/4 mile No-box land.

I still foot brake in the quarter, the roll out is shorter. At the tenth mile I run regularly my car doesn't 60 foot quick enough and they have a long roll out. Hence the delay box.

i think all tracks are like that, not just where you race. ive never been to a track where you can win with a .050 light. sometimes in the early rounds somebody gets lucky but your not going rounds at any track unless you can have consistant .020 lights or better.

That may be true. I used to hate delay boxes with a passion, until I just couldn't cut a light anymore. I was always .575, or if I rolled in deep, .475. The roll out and my 60 foot just wouldn't get along. I bought a delay box and never looked back.

But now that you use a delay box your in a different catagory. Using a delay box your now more of a pro tree guy. You only need the top bulb.
