Default Debit Card Compromised

I just got a call from chase that my debit card has been compromised. Three charges, .01, .01, 71.80.
Apparently they were testing my number to see if I would notice the charges.
I never use this card in stores. Only to pay bills online.

So just a warning to check your accounts.
Thank god for chase credit services. They caught it and refunded the money immediately.
Phuckin scumbags.
The 71.80 charge was for a bus ticket in burmingham alabama.

Had a CC compromised last month. Fraud process went smoothly, issued new card in 2 days. All my accounts are viewable online and I check them often.

Chase rocks. On memorial day they called me and let me know my card was used at walmart for $250 in Alabama when I had just used it 15 minutes before here in Oklahoma. Refunded my money immediately.

.

yep the 1 cent and 1 dollar charges are red flags, they allways seem to make atleast one of those first to test it out. Some got mine last year right after I made an online purchase at http://intakehoses.com/

I caught it the next day when I saw a 1 dollar charge, They tested it out on some porn site, by the time I got to the bank to cancle the card I had over 4k pending on it. I check my account daily though so it was easy to catch. Funny thing was I call all the places they tried to buy shit from and they really didn't seem to give a shit. They sure as shit wouldn't give me the address they where going to ship the products too. I wanted to send the fucker who stole my card number a nice present.

I just had $42 in music downloads charged to mine. I disputed the charges and they issued a new card and refunded the charges. It took about 1 week to clear it up.

Shit, I hope that's not what happened to me. I noticed a charge for $9.63 at an online electronics place I have never been to. It was for a cheesy little keychain flashlight. The charge happened on Thanksgiving day. I emailed the online store and told them about it. They said they never shipped it because the buyer never confirmed the transaction and they would refund the charge. I asked what shipping address they were going to use. It was mine! Wonder if I need to call my credit union and change my debit card?

Was the lenders fault for not checking the fraud alert on his SS number.
