Yes... I've been thinking about adding an O2 to this side as well...but in a primary for a cleaner reading.

The header tubes need to be attached to the collector like this on every tube.. the tubes that are not attached are the ones that blow out...

You are saying it is normal to blow out a primary?

No.. not normal,, on engines with power you will always blow out the primary tube that is not bolted to the collector.. Most people mount there slip on collectors with two tubes,, it needs to be all 4 tubes securely attached to the primaries...

Make a pull with the room lights off. What color is the header pipe? What color is steel when it is soft enough to bend easily?

Yes the tubing gets soft then the exhaust pressure blows the improperly mounted primary out of the collector,,, I`ve seen primaries with 1.5 inch of overlap into the collector get blown out, then people look at it scratching there head trying to figure out "how the fuck that came out of there and how we gona put it back in..."

I re-checked the crank sync last night and it was 8 degrees off... no wonder why we had to set it at 41* reference. So now it is at 49* reference. To fix my map, I multiplied my timing table by 120%. Only thing is that it has me around 40* at idle and around 30* under 30#'s of boost... on a 15* head (and it seemed like it wanted more given the iceless inlet temps and the power gains on the previous pulls)!!! I spoke to some people and we are thinking my ignition is not fully up to the task, hence the timing numbers. We'll soon see.

Thanks Ben for coming out with me and keeping the tuneup safe over the 5 gazillion pulls. Thanks Sean on the keen eye for some small but important details. Thanks Mike for the phone a friend tech support. And thanks Rob for bringing all the shitheads to make fun of me during the pulls
