well marty went threw the car one winter full up grades, cage, engine, trans, rear, mini tub, crazzy paint, all what u see in pic above , put a ton of coin into it ...well 1 thing marty didnt do was ever change title into his name, was still an open title, and when marty did send title into state to get it in his name, , he got a call from the secretary of state saying the chevell was a stolen car, where is it? and were comming for it !!!
marty and crew hauld it down to PnG auto on 87th street , asap! and started stripping all they could off it ... well long story, marty ended up with car after few court days and some money ....after that marty kinda left racin and crusin .....
Dukes crew in mid 80 was
Kevin Lawrence 69 camaro , early out law
chuck samuels, elcamino and chevell
marty belicky, 70 chevell
clarol, blown duster
carl, Buick GS...
video Bob,Hemi Cuda
Gary, hugger orange duce coupe...
mike alberts, 69 camaro
and many more , lol..... was awesome times for me .....

and this was what we were plain with at the time, 63 tempest, with a junk yard sbc on spray , lol we were 18 -19 then 86, 87ish , had soo much fun ....
here was Dukes drive inn, not sure what year ...
Great stories about chicago street racer,DUKES must have bin wild.Did you ever here about a street racer by the name of scott brown,he had a 69 camaro ,orange with black strips ,14/32 big block,it was in car craft 1978.They talk about streetracing and dukes drive in.Would love to see pictures of back then.

X2 on that. I remember on the weekend the cars would start the cruise around 08:00 or 09:00pm and be out till about 12:00 or 01:00 then we would meet up to go watch or participate in the street racing. Plenty of hot spots in Chicago at that time and plenty of hot cars.

Almost forgot about the '000' club from US 30. Duffy trailering in his 66 Chevelle with his dad and 'The Limerick Trick 'in tow looking for a race after they got back from 30. The 'Gas Jet' 'Rat Poison' a blown 72 Chevelle . Peter Pan in his flamed Pontiac lowrider. The Gremlin Express and a whole host of other rides including all the tri-chevy cars.

That was the best. I had my 66 chevelle with the BB and the straight axle that was painted 75 Corvette yellow. The guys used to say they could see it coming from 2 blocks away and hear it from 3. I think the picture from Dukes was from their reunion this fall. As you can see I stay with the yellows.
