That's right. It's nothing. This was a pityful waste of money and lives that accomplished????I am pretty sure it wasn't about who was sponsoring what.

If you did that, it would probably be surprisingly small.

Dead people too?

No guarantee. Probably damn little would have been. Still, it came from somewhere.

Maybe we should save them money. We catch a terriorist trying to kill and instead of the marter treatment we take out their entire family so it's out of their family's genes.

Iraq was simply an invasion to gain a foothold in the region. America is an Empire. However the government likes to pretend we are still a Democracy that does things only to protect itself.

I guess that is why they call them Corporate Empires.

Since 9-11-01 cost us in excess of 1 trillion in actual property loss, 3000 lives, immeasurable ancilliary lives effected, programs such as NSA and Homeland Security and the Hundreds of Billions spent as a result, in order for America to "feel safe". Do you feel that another episode is possible, if we left the fight , thats over there?

Is property value damage (as a result of conflict) substantially higher THERE, or HERE?

Ok, War on Terror aside, lets look at logistics.
With 3 Super Bases in Iraq, and a firm foothold in the region, does this provide us the ability to observe (nice word for SPY) countries with less than good intentions for the US? Countries like Iran, Syria, Pakistan, Somalia, China? Remember during Desert Storm, we lost air space access thru Turkey, due to Middle Eastern pressures on Turkey. We now have unfettered access to the region. We have the manpower and equipment in the region for near immediate response. How much is that worth? How much is a WAR READY military worth? Yes, 4,000+ brave men and women VOLUNTEERS have been killed and countless injured to protect the US from being attacked. How much is that worth?

Now ask yourself a logical question. WHAT politician in their right mind would A.) Start or B.) Continue a conflcit there, despite a flagging economy, and fiscal repose. Wouldnt they be a hero to pull out? Or is the dire risk of failure too great NOT to stay there?

Think about it. With Dems having super majority, they could have had a complete pull out. But they didn't. Why?

While completely uniting all the shitbag middle eastern countries and calling to arms every towel head that has ever had any issue with the western world. This caldron will boil for a long time.

I guess that is why they call them Corporate Empires.

It's usually about large sums of money which would be fine if it were MY MONEY. Since it isn't I'm on this side of the debate.
