Default Best push to connect line 1/4"

The stuff I've used is that stiff nylon junk and I want to swap it out for the nicer and more flexible stuff. What's the best stuff you guys have come across and where can I buy it?

Will it see vacuum? If so, anything "softer" might collapse.
Also the more flexible the more likely it will balloon up.

Pressure only. Just using for boost controller lines.

McMaster has a bunch of options. And half of them are plastic type. Which is the good one?

Best of temp and chem is teflon but, the worst for bending and running.
We use DOT black Nylon. Not to hard to run and hold up to most heat and chem.
If you need hard turns we use P.T.C. elbows.

You could run it in hard line as well. Tube/sleeve aluminum tubing with AN adapters.

Also if you heat it very little it will bend and then hold the shape. I mean a little, sometimes just rubbing it with a rag and bending it will put enough heat in it it will hold that shape better.

We stock all of the fittings and the 1/4" line. Use ONLY DOT airbrake tubing if your gonna run that way!!!! If it were me, I would measure the line and run stainless braided teflon hoses.

I guess I have unintentionally bent some with heat and they still worked.

ill be using stainless line for mine, i have had the nylon melt before. Better to be safe then have a line fail when you need it most.

The "plastic" lines go real soft with heat - not what you want

I got all mine from Joe at tempest, and it seems like good stuff. I havent had a failed line yet, and it is so easy to repair if it does fail. I keep extra hose and fittings in the trailer, but still haven't had to use any of it.

i use dot air brake line, if its routed correctly, there wont be a problem, diesel engine bays see way more heat for WAY longer than a race car ever will.

routing, routing, routing

Dot air brake lines here on a single-turbo street car.... X1000 on routing like Anthony mentioned!
