Right on Jeff I guess the old timer still races a car built from black water pipe and is stick welded together. They must be afarid of the air/electric shifters because we can hide our Matty box in it and cheat.lol

hey in prostock there is no air shifters if they can shift a 6 second car manually im sure you guys can handle a 8.90/10.50 car manually.

Amen! This series is an alternative to bracket racing. You drive the car, you run the number. And do it the old fashion way!

If you want to race remote control cars do it in the field at the top end with the airplanes.

Wow, since when did we allow all these flyweight cars to come and dominate like they did this year? Some of you are steaming over a street driven car with a tiny wheelbase and a straight axle frontend that only ran 9.30's? RE-READ the rules there is some verbage that says IF IT DOESN'T FIT THE SPIRIT, IT DOESN'T RACE. We turned away cars this year and we'll do it again next if they don't fit, give us a little credit guys.

GERRY PENN, since you attended all the races as a spectator and mingled with the crowd and racers, did you hear anyone complaining about the cars appearance, weight or blinkers? When Jim Breeze did that massive wheelstand at the last race, did anyone say "well that sucks, he doesn't weigh 3k.."? Did you talk to the guy who brings his camper [from south of pittsburgh] and his whole family to our races and only cheers to 'our street racers' as you pass them on the return road?

These are fun races with a really good group of racers, its a simple concept with basic rules, lets not overthink it.

it sounds to me like most of the bitchen is coming from the people who watch the races and wishes they could be in them, did the winner of the 8.90 race complain about the chassi car not winning or anyone not having turn signals. the rules worked very well this year and the car count and fans showed that. so shut up get your ready junk to race next year. then if you dont win find a reason to wine!!!!! Tom you guys did a great job with the classes and we will be back next year to help support and race. with out crying about the rules.

I have to give props to Blaze and Ray as there cars are street appearing to the T and have won. Those are the target cars that represent the class well. On the filp side though I understand that cars like that are far and few between.
Chad, your a somebody to us and we appreciate your input. we are emphasizing to racers to try better the class by working on street appearance items.

i guess were both banned ray, you talk about black pipe roll cage, i know a guy that built a conduit roll cage in his car, he also had a trans tunnel made from a wheelbarrow, and he was in the process of putting a 55 gal, drum half full of water in it for weight transfer, ah! the good old days, he was going to race it at dragway 42, he would of fit like a glove.
