Default What is the best rear suspension for a Fox body?

As the post says what is the best rear suspension for a Fox body car? I was thinking about going Ladder bar & back halfing the car or even 4link. I have seen that a lot of guys are going with mini tubs with adjustable rear control arms with coilovers though as well with 29x10.5 slicks.
Currently the engine combo is a 302 that runs 7.6's in the eigth mile. Plans are to add some juice & run some Pro Trees classes. Possibly even going to a Big Block later in the future.

I think it really depends on what class your gonna set it up for. The factory 4 link system on that car works really well. We run the Wolfe rear setup with the small coil spring on an adjustable perch with a double adjustable varishock. With this setup, I dont get hit with the coil over penalties either. The lower control arms have an offset perch to match up. On a 275 tire, sbf n20 combo, we have been 1.23 60ft and 5.09 in the 1/8th. Here is a picture of how the car sits.

Team Z, Racecraft, Wolfe...can't go wrong with anyone of those. They all have everything you would need.

IMO try and stay as close to stock type as possible using the stock suspension points (reinforced of course) that way you don't eliminate yourself from any classes.

and there are plenty of companies out there with all the adjustable parts that you need

OB1, I like the stance of you car!
My intentions are to start out running Open Comp & then going into 7.0 & then 6.0 & so on. I have around 200 lbs. to take out of it right now & then I want to start buying fiberglass for it to take out some more! I've been bracket racing it up until now.
What all do you have done to the front end to get it down that low?
What all classes are out there & what are some of the suspension rules?

I run a racecraft 2" drop spindle and 25" et fronts. Then I have a 2" b/s on the front wheels.

Typically anytime you go to a back half style suspension or coil over mod, your gonna get hit with a weight penalty if they even allow it.

I'm getting ready to put 1" shorter a-arms on mine next. Later I want to put the 2" drop spindles with the Aerospace brake kit that brings the wheels in 3/4" in the front.

I'm going to do the same thing. I'm just going to shorten the QA1 lower front control arms that I have now.
