Default help me better my 60ft.

ok guys i have a turbo s10 all steel truck. just 4 link back half. 3500 lbs.
went 8.96 at 150.73 sat with a 1.298 60ft.
i want to improve the 60.
its a long bed. bed floor is removed.
the tires seem to like little to no pressure, less than 6lbs.
at 8lbs my 60s are 1.5 7lbs are 1.4 6 lbs 1.3 and 5 1/2 to 5 3/4 1.298 to 1.304. the lower tire pressure is telling me to hit the tires harder. what can i do to acomplish this.? any ideas.
the shocks are koni double adj. set 7comp 3 reb. 95lb springs truck is close to 70/30 weight. 4 link bottom bar is in bottom holes rear and frame. top bar is middle hole frame top hole rear
its a jegster 4 link. i thought about moving the 4link bar to get more weight on the rear.

Spread of rear mounting points?

Spread of front mounting points?

Length of upper and lower bars?

Angle of lower bar and is it running up or down to the chassis?

Weight on rear tires ?

What tire?

its a 32x14et drag lower bar is 1 deg down toward front
equal length bars.
rear 10.5 front is 5.5
top bar is in top hole rear, middle hole frame
lower bar is lower hole both.
pic
rear

front

the rear is in the air so you cant see the angle of the bars.
i think the rear weight at rest is 800 lbs.

What kind of shocks, because it should be hitting the tire pretty hard with that setup. You Ic is just a few inches longer than double the length of the bars..

Other than the lower being slightly angled down softening the hit slightly. It should be pretty agressive

What gear in the rear and trans?

What Rear Shocks?

Is anything binding? Can you bounce the rear end up and down with the housing on jack stands?

you can try tightening the compression setting on the shocks to hit them harder. if you have adj on the front tighten them up too. i run 10.5s on my stang ive went a 1.16 on the motor. good luck man. you're getting there. looks like you need some more tuning. by the way my car likes higher pressure in the tires, i run 9-9.5 psi.

they are koni spa1 double adj rears and comp eng 3 way adj fronts on 90/10
rear is 8 and 3 comp/reb
i was thinking about lowering the top bar down to the second hole.
to put more weight on the rear and shorten the ic toward the rear more.
the tires are 32x14x15 mt et drags,
trans is a th400 with hipsters brake stock gearing
4.56 gears. seems to be running out of gear now in third. wich it didnt do at 9.12 and 148. shift light is at 7000
two step is set at 3500. and leaves arround 9-12 lbs boost.
the rear dont bounce its way too stiff on the shocks. if you set the comp at 1 and rebound at 1 then its all good. very easy to move up and down.
should i try and move the lower bar.
with the tires on and it on the ground i could move it up in the back to get more aggresive angle on the bottom bar.
if the bottom bar is down toward the front is that a harder hit?
like a ladderbar car? i think most of the problem is the weight. its a long bed and a truck and no weight on rear untill front is in the air.
it used to hit then unload then hit then unload. that was 60fts 1.38 to 1.4 range.

Lowering the lower bar down will not increase hit on the tire.. but I am not completely sure that is what you need, If you are going out this weekend shoot some video of the rear tire, and see what the front end is doing as it comes out of the lights..

A 14 x 32 tire holding up only 800 lbs is not going to want alot of air pressure and like you have said that is REALLY light on the back, Depending on how your car is leaving the the line, what the front tires do to clear the beams, the 60' may not be that far off, my 8.80 2500 lb car only 1.24 60'd on average years ago.

Get some video and lets see if it just the weight of the rear that is hindering you.

I think if you move the top bar down one hole front and rear it will hit harder. It will move the ic back and act more like a ladder bar. Also limit the front travel, all that movement in the front suspention is taking time from the 60'. You will find when its hitting harder you'll need more tire pressure to keep it from wadding the tires. A stiff sidewall tire helps too. I havn't tuned a lot of 4 link stuff, but the ones i have work well. I'm more of a ladder bar guy so i might be corrected by the pro's here. These are just some things i would try.

Take the video from the left rear of the car, at a angle that gets both back tires and the left front as the car goes away from you. See the guy behind it, thats the spot to video from.

I think its aready killing the tire on the left from your picture of the right tire. Your driving the tire down, and its bouncing up ( this is what I call Basket Balling the tire), more pressure make it do it worse. They do the bunny hop.

In your picture you have 3500 lbs, plus the force on it how much weight does it need?

my goal is to get more weight back sooner or more hit so i can up the tire pressure. the tire wear is uneven.
sides are more wore and rounded middle is thicker. looks to be running the outer 4" on each side prety good. middle looks like its barley working
i know if i can run say 7lbs and hit it with more weight and force to keep it down and pulling. ill get a better 60 cause the whole tire is working.

i have a drag race anti roll bar to install but is not on yet and wont be for the track rental. not enough time.
im thinking about a glide too. some say it will help a lot and some say will kill 60ft. any ideas about that.

Jeff is thinking what I am, you are hitting the tire to hard already..

The low air pressure is allowing the tire to take the hit with more air pressure the tire is rebounding and causing it to spin and slowing the 60'

The light weight of the rear end is going to make this a very easy circumstance to happen, a little to much hit, a little to much air pressure, and you do not have the rear end weight to keep the tire from rebounding and spinning..

Like we have said, get some video of the rear tires, you are probably killing the left rear tire, the suspension setting you have should already be very aggressive..
