Well, I didn't know that and I worked for Mickey. I'm not saying you are wrong, however.

Mickey Thompson got two. Butch Leal's and the "hemi" car that was driven by Jess Tyree. The lowest VIN car was Gas Ronda's. Dick Brannan did get the first one built. This just proves that they built them in no particular order in regards to their VIN.

Next trivia question - how many automatics were there built in the 11 vintage burgandy cars and who got them?

I remember reading about one that a guy got out of a farmers field and re built it.( 1980's) I think it had the Wrecking Crew painted down the side of the car

I heard somewhere that most of them built were automatic equipped and changed after delivery.

troublemaker allways has to stick hs nose in somewhere.

the first original six or so of them actually had a "cloverleaf" shaped hood scoop.

I have a dear friend that was one of the mechanics on GAS's car.

I grew up 1/4 mile from dearborn steel tubing. My dad grew up in the same house and used to tell me stories about the T-bolts doing burnouts in the alley behind the DST.

Linc-O-Matics? Seems that I recall that name for the automatic transmissions.

As I recall the factory did not build the T-Bolts.
