Default S-10 with stock rear frame rail and 29.5-10.5

Is it possible to keep the stock rear frame rail (notching is fine) and get a 29.5 x 10.5 UNDER the truck? Not hanging out the side? Someone is looking to do this in a local class and figured somebody here would know for sure and maybe have pics?

The 82-93 S10 has a very thin frame rail where it goes over the rear.
You could notch it I guess but you would have to reinforce the shit out of it.
I tried a 29x12.50 Qt pro on a 15x9 with a 5" b.s and it stuck out about an 1" or more because of the sidewall.

I can tuck a 315, on a 10" rim with 7.5 backspace. Here's a pic with a 275 on the same rims

Cool! Thanks, he currently has a ladder bar setup. But, to race in a couple of the heads up classes here, he has to have the rear frame rail in it.

I have 29.5x10.5S on mine with 10 inch wheels. I have half inch from the tire to stock frame rail. To tuck them I think you'ld have to notch the frame.

Here's some pics of a S-10 being completed at A&W Performance... It has a 15x12 inch wheel with a 29.5x10.5S. Completely tucked.

Why do guys run a 12" wheel with only a 10.5" tread width? I've always heard you want the wheel width to be same as tread width???
